I made this costume for Halloween, but really it was an excuse to make a new costume that I could wear to cons as well! I've been obsessed with Animal Crossing for the past few years, and I just *had* to cosplay from it.

The white shirt and blue skirt were both bought from thrift stores and altered. The shirt was originally long sleeved, but I cut and hemmed the sleeves to be short. The skirt was also longer and had a slit in it, so I made it a bit shorter and took out the slit.

The vest is made by me using Butterick's B5359 vest pattern and altering it slightly. The plaid fabric was a lucky find at Joann. Orignally it was a green and white plaid, but I dyed the fabric to be more accurate to Isabelle's game sprite using Rit's apple green liquid fabric dye. I also made a little bell bag to go with my costume! It's made from fleece with felt for the star detailing.

The ears and yellow part of the tail were dyed as well using iDye Poly. It did mess up the texture of the fur a bit, but I really love the color that came from it.
